Women’s Empowerment

Ayşe Gürbüz Co-Owner of Onay Socks

I have been involved in textile production since my early years. Through my background in workshop management, I have seen firsthand how valuable and essential women’s labor is in every stage of production.
At the same time, I have also witnessed how many women, despite their skills and dedication, face greater barriers when it comes to reaching supervisory or leadership positions. At Onay Socks, I care deeply about helping change this perspective.
For me, a person’s place within a company should never be determined by gender, lifestyle or appearance, but by effort, capability and willingness to take responsibility.
That is why I strongly value encouraging women employees to develop themselves, take on greater responsibility and apply for leadership roles.
